The objective of this training is to allow the trainee to apply the different stages of preparing a shipment of dangerous (non-radioactive) by ground, according to Canadian standards. This training is for anyone who needs to pack, package, and prepare dangerous goods shipping documents for Canadian shipments. The trainee has no knowledge of the regulations or has not been updated for more than 4 years.

Familiarization with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods in Clear Language Regulations (TDGR).

Familiarization with the Provincial Order (Québec) on the transportation of dangerous goods by road.

Interpretation (definitions), Application / Exemptions and special cases.

Classification (classification criteria for the 9 classes and packing groups).

Annexes 1, 2, 3 - Selection of designations according to Annexes 1 and 3 and special provisions Annexe 2.

Marking and labeling requirements for packages and overpacks.

Requirements for labels and placards applicable to road transport.

Safety requirements for packaging (containers): UN / UN, safe and TC / DOT.

Preparation of the shipping document.

Know and apply the specific requirements of the Canadian TDG, Emergency Response Plan (ERAP), Inspection Authority, Immediate Report (Accidental Release) and Equivalency Certificate.

Regulatory requirements of training, practical exercises and examination.
